Give your child the strongest start in life at TIGS Senior School. Students currently in Year 5 are invited to ‘Try TIGS’ and experience a day in the life of a Year 7 student on Tuesday 7 November.
Students will experience a day in the life of a Year 7 student with hands-on English, Maths, Science and HSIE classes as well as a Senior School masterclass. Try TIGS is an opportunity to become familiar with the Senior School environment and meet other students who will be in the same year group.
Our focus in Senior School is to ensure students excel not just across their core academic subjects, but in sport, the arts and as leaders. Each student is supported to achieve their personal best in a culture of high effort and achievement. TIGS students regularly feature in the Higher School Certificate (HSC) Merit Lists which recognise the top Year 12 achievers in NSW.
Student wellbeing is paramount at TIGS. Our students can achieve their best knowing they are safe and supported. Our House system builds a strong sense of camaraderie across every cohort, where the effort of every student is encouraged and celebrated. This strong sense of connectedness is vital to each students achieving their best, in learning and in life.
Each Year Group in Senior School has a Dean who is responsible for the care and welfare of the students in that group. Students have a formal meeting once a week with the Dean, helping us track their progress and identify any issues. From Year 8 onwards, the Dean remains with your child’s Year Group until they finish their schooling ensuring continuity of care.
Future leaders need future-focussed learning environments. Agile classrooms, music studios, photography studios, and a flexible multi-use school hall ensure our students have the tools and experience required to succeed throughout their education and throughout life.
Places are available for children currently in Year 6 commencing Year 7 in 2025.
Join us on Tuesday 7 November and Try TIGS.
